Baltimore Canyon – nearly finished
After days of steaming up and down and all around Baltimore Canyon we have nearly finished our work here. We have a very good, detailed map of the canyon and our colleagues from USGS, Jason and Daniel, plus our other helpers with the multibeam data (Megan and Veronica and the ship’s survey techs, Samantha and Laura) have cleaned the data and generated some very nice maps. Below are two views of the area we have mapped. In addition, we have been looking for several ship wreck targets in the region. This, plus our CDT transects, have made the cruise a success so far. The ship and its crew have done a great job of making this a productive exercise. Weather continues to be cooperative.
We have been having trouble wih email communications, so have not been able to post many blogs. We hope to keep in touch better as we move south toward Washington Canyon later today.

Steve, is there any way you can contact me via email: angelo.ruvio@gmail.com
I have some questions I was hoping to ask you. You have the keys to doors I’ve been wanting to explore on a private boat for a while.
